Il coverscat nasce come esca anticonvenzionale rispetto al panorama mondiale del Bass Fishing. Ad una prima occhiata verrebbe da definirla un'esca da usare negli approcci tipo flipping, ma il vero concetto di pesca in cover sviluppato da deps è altro:l'estrema compattezza e il 40% di contenuto salino rendono il coverscat una delle esche siliconiche con il più alto risultato nel lancio e nell'affondamento, questo perché le alette laterali lo stabilizzano nelle discese anche importanti e nei recuperi sul fondale, imitando alla perfezione l'assetto di un gambero in fuga dall'attacco del predatore. Io lo utilizzo con fluorocarbon da 20lb e con un amo 3/0-4/0. Non abbiate paura di usarlo anche per profondità importanti, questa pesca richiede pazienza, sensibilità e ottima conoscenza delle attrezzature a disposizione, ma i risultati non tarderanno ad arrivare
